BT42 Handy Size Bulk Carrier (M/S Ruen)

• First in the series of ships ordered by Navibulgar, Bulgaria’s leading ship owner with a history of more than 125 years. Ship is of Bluetech 42 standard design with minor modifications

• Constructed at Jiangsu Hongqiang Marine Heavy Industry Shipyard, Qidong where the delivery ceremony took place in December 2016. The preceding sea trial tests showed distinguished performance. All the items met with the design requirements and received high praise from the owner

• The main benefits of the Bluetech 42 design are a large hold volume, a big deadweight combined with a very low fuel consumption and low emissions – in the range of best in the world. As such it represents the future, an entirely new efficient and ecological design

• The 41 600 DWT bulk carrier has a length of 185 metres, a moulded breadth of 31 metres, a moulded depth of 16 metres and 15 per cent additional cargo volumetric compared with similar vessels
